Welcome to Worthing Tuesday Embroiderers Guild.
You are warmly invited to come along to the Worthing Tuesday Embroiderers Guild. You are equally welcome if you are a beginner or more experienced. Members’ interests range from traditional embroidery to contemporary textile art, as well as other related subjects such as weaving, dyeing, printing, beading, mixed-media etc. We have monthly talks from interesting speakers, several informal workshops per month where members share their skills with each other, as well as more formal ‘taught’ workshops several times per year. There’s a friendly welcome, and we hope that you will quickly feel at home. There’s more information for new members on the ‘Info for New Members’ page.
We meet on the second Tuesday of the month from 2.15 pm to 4pm, usually at Maybridge Keystone Centre, Raleigh Way, in Goring-by-Sea. You are welcome to visit up to 3 times as a guest before you join. There are details of our monthly meetings and other events on the Programme page.
Branch Challenge 2019
The committee have issued a ‘branch challenge’ to members, as a fun way to get lots of people stitching to a theme. There are only two specifications: each entry will be mounted on the same sized square artists canvas (supplied free by the committee) and will be stitched in only two colours. There is more information, and a few examples, on the Branch Challenge page. Do consider giving it a go.
Worthing has two distinct but closely-related branches of the Embroiderers Guild. The Worthing Saturday branch also has a programme of speakers and workshops – you will find their details on the National Embroiders Guild website. Some members belong to both, or join one and attend the other occasionally as a guest.
